സ്ഥലം ചില രാഷ്ട്രീയക്കാർ മുൻ പഞ്ചായത്തംഗത്തിന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ വെട്ടി പിടിച്ച് റോഡ് നിർമ്മിക്കുകയാണെന്ന പരാതിയെ കുറിച്ച് അന്വേഷിക്കാൻ മനുഷ്യാവകാശ കമ്മീഷൻ ഉത്തരവിട്ടു. കുന്ദമംഗലം പോലീസ് ഇൻസ്പെക്ടർക്കാണ് കമ്മീഷൻ ജുഡീഷ്യൽ അംഗം കെ. ബൈജുനാഥ് ഉത്തരവ് നൽകിയത്.15 ദിവസത്തിനകം റിപ്പോർട്ട് സമർപ്പിക്കണം.

Kozhikode: The Human Rights Commission has ordered an inquiry into the complaint that some politicians, led by a former panchayat member, are encroaching on the land in the name of a destitute and sick elderly woman and constructing a road. The order was issued by the Commission's judicial member K. Baijunath to the Kundamangalam Police Inspector. The report should be submitted within 15 days

Human rights commission has taken up a case to investigate harassment of an old lady by some local politicians to evict her from her hut. 

Senior citizens need protection from harassment, forced evictions, attacks etc. They need to be provided facilities in public spaces too. Indian railways have brought out a reservation rule that ensures senior persons get the lower berths. 

Law is to be made to ensure that senior citizen cards are issued by an authority and if a senior citizen display the card and ask for the seats reserved for them in the buses it should be immediately available. 

Protection to senior citizens against physical attack in public spaces is essential.
